Your business
has outgrown
your advisors.

Three partners. Forty clients. No juniors on your file. We work with founders of $5M–$50M businesses who've hit the ceiling of generic advice.

Who we work with

Not your father's
accounting firm.

Most advisory firms hand you a graduate with a checklist. You're paying for a logo, not a brain. Apex is the opposite: three partners who've built, sold, and restructured businesses of their own. When we sit across the table, we've been where you are.

Our clients are typically founders doing $5M–$50M in revenue. Too big for the local accountant who helped them get started. Too small for Deloitte to return their calls. They're making decisions that will define the next decade of their business, and they need someone in the room who's done it before.

We'll tell you when you're wrong. That's what you're paying for.

What we do
Six disciplines.
Three partners.
01
Business Strategy & Growth
Where you are, where you want to be, and the three things standing in the way.
Strategy
02
Mergers & Acquisitions
Buy-side, sell-side, and the due diligence that catches what spreadsheets miss.
M&A
03
Succession Planning
Your business shouldn't depend on you being in the room. We build the structure so it doesn't.

04
Financial Modelling & Forecasting
Models that answer questions, not just organise numbers.

05
Board Advisory & Governance
For founders who want a board that challenges them, not a rubber stamp.

06
Exit Strategy & Valuation
Most exits fail twelve months before completion. We work backwards from that.

Exit Planning

Most exits fail.
Here's why.

Most founders underestimate what a successful exit requires. It's not a transaction you decide on in March and close in June. It's eighteen months of preparation at minimum: getting your financials audit-ready, removing key-person dependencies, identifying the right buyer class, and structuring the deal so you don't leave money on the table or walk into a two-year earn-out you didn't expect.

"They told us things we didn't want to hear. Then they were right about every single one."

How we work
Three stages. No surprises.
01
Diagnostic
Two weeks of deep work. We review your financials, interview your leadership team, and map the landscape. The output is a clear picture of where you stand and a recommendation on what to do next. No filler, no padding.
02
Engagement
If there's a fit, we scope a project or retainer. One partner leads your engagement. They're in your boardroom, on your calls, and across your numbers. You won't be explaining context to a new face every month.
03
Execution
We work alongside your team to implement. Strategy without execution is a document nobody reads. We stay in the room until the work is done and the results are measurable. Then we step back.
Client Perspectives
What our clients say.
Client Testimonial

"We'd been talking to Deloitte for six months and got nowhere. Apex had a draft exit strategy on our desk in three weeks. The difference is they actually listened."

James Chen
Founder, Arcline Manufacturing
Client Testimonial

"Michael challenged every assumption in our growth plan. Half of them were wrong. Saved us two years of chasing the wrong market."

Sarah Mitchell
CEO, Northbridge Property Group
Client Testimonial

"When our co-founder wanted out, Apex structured the buyout so both parties walked away satisfied. No litigation, no drama, no surprises."

David Hargreaves
Director, Summit Engineering
Common Questions
Straight answers.
Q01
Who does Apex work with?

Founders and directors of businesses doing $5M–$50M in revenue. We're not generalists—we work with people who are past the startup phase and facing a decision that will shape the next decade.

Q02
How are engagements structured?

Project-based or retainer. Most clients start with a diagnostic—two weeks of deep work that produces a clear picture and a recommendation. From there, you decide if you want us in the room longer-term.

Q03
What do you charge?

We quote per engagement after the initial conversation. We're not cheap, and we don't discount. Our clients measure our fee against the cost of getting the decision wrong.

Q04
How are you different from the Big 4?

Three partners, forty clients. No juniors on your file. No 200-page decks that take six months. We're smaller, faster, and we only take work where we can be useful.

Start a
conversation.

No obligation, no pitch deck. An initial call to see if there's a fit. If there is, we'll scope the engagement properly. If there isn't, we'll tell you.
